Our goal is to train and develop these local youth bowling athletes and eventually form high school teams. We aim to prepare them for collegiate competition and the scholarship opportunities that are widely available and frequently underutilized in our community.
Club Meeting May 9th at 5:00pm
Our first meeting will be open to all youth bowlers and parents who currently attend Crystal Lake and Cary high schools or will be this fall. This meeting will answer any questions, assess the amount of interest to organize team structure and, develop a network of members who can work together to create additional opportunities for our local youth bowlers through high school team formation.
Summer Clubs start June 8th and 9th (3pm-5pm)
The Club will meet 10 times over 11 weeks ending the second week of August. Five boys and five girls will be selected from each of our four high schools and hold clubs of 20 bowlers for each day. Summer girls club would be on Wednesdays and boys club would be on Thursdays. Club would consist of drills based training and competitive games with instruction provided by Oracle Bowling Company Certified Coaches. Greatly discounted equipment will also be available for those who are interested.
We are also in need of parent volunteers to assist with organization and supervision. In return, we want to provide parents and guardians with the information and resources to help your student athlete become successful.
Please use the attached flyer to forward to your friends and family. If you have any questions, please attend the club meeting on May 9th, reply to this email or send an email to John Contos at [email protected]
