
The McHenry County Youth Bowling Travel League is a Singles league that bowls on Sundays at the various bowling centers throughout the McHenry County area. You will bowl 10 weeks, with two by weeks off for Mother's Day and Easter. As this is a SMART scholarship league, the goal is to have fun and earn scholarship money for your SMART fund.

START DATE: Sunday, March 1, 2026 with a 10:00 AM start time.
• The NEW! McHenry County Youth Bowling Travel League (MCYBTL) will bowl three games on SUNDAYS.
• Traveling for 10 weeks (with 2 bye-weeks) to different bowling centers throughout the McHenry County USBC (MCUSBC) Association.
• This is a SINGLES league. No need to find teammates
LOCATION: The McHenry County Bowling Centers.
• Kicking off at Metro Bowl 77 Brink St, Crystal Lake, IL 60014
COST: $20 per week per bowler for league fees and prize/scholarship fund.
• Cash or check (made out to: MCYBTL) is accepted.
• It is encouraged to provide the full participation amount of $200 upfront by Week 1.
• Prize fund/SCHOLARSHIP money will be awarded at the end of the league.
• Beneficial USBC SMART fundraising opportunities that personally boosts the bowler’s scholarship funds.
The bowler can use these funds for college related expenses.
• This is a USBC certified handicap league, 90% of 220.
• Youth certification is $10 per bowler unless you have already paid the certification fee for the current season in this association. If the bowler is currently certified in another association, only the local processing fee of $6 will be collected.
• The MCUSBC is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. Tax deductible donations are accepted.

PRE-BOWLING WILL BE ALLOWED WITH THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
• Must be scheduled with the League Supervisor (LS)/Official at least one week in advance.
• Pre-bowling is based on the centers’ availability.
• If the LS/Official is not informed, the bowler will not be allowed to pre-bowl and will be forced to use his or her average minus 10 pins for each game missed.
• MCUSBC Youth Tournaments have not been scheduled during league competitions. See the MCUSBC schedule for dates, place and times of tournaments.
